Timeless

It's FRIDAY!!! and what a long week it has been, which brings me to my topic for today. Time and our perceptions as well as our understanding of it.

Growing up, from the time i can remember, we always just knew and understood what we were exposed too, such as the time of the day, the days of the week, the months and years. We are so caught up, that on our birthdays, we usually celebrate once a year, most of us would recognize the feeling of feeling a year older the day you move over even though just the day before you was classified as a year younger!

The way we recognize and perceive time is relative to what we expect to happen to us at around certain ages. Though, growing up, before we learn to read time on a watch, most of us would have thought of time in terms of waking up, eating breakfast, time to bath, time for lunch, a certain time to snooze, supper time and then time to sleep. Time was endless and we cared little for rushing about getting stuff done. As i find myself now, everyday i seem to want more and more time as i realize that the time we all have on this earth is a finite amount. This means that some of us who have dreams which could fill the skies and seas, wouldn't be able to complete it during a lifetime.

We pursue ideas and goals and almost everything we do is related to time and how fast or quickly we can do it. Efficiency is defined by how well we can do something with the least effort in the shortest space of time. Time is a constant and it progresses at a rate that we cannot change (we feel time, not the recorded time on a clock or clocks around the world - clocks are only a tool we use).

So pondering more on this, as we are all curious people who have ambitions and aspirations to progress and advance civilization as a whole, the most important aspect i can find about time would be that we need to spend it wisely and efficiently.

As humans and with our nature of things, we use time to do nothing, we use time to do very little, and we also use time to be productive sometimes, yet the most meaningful way of spending our time would be a balance of sort to acquire our dreams. We need to know the directions of our goals and aspirations and follow them to the ends of time.

With that, i guess I'm off to the weekend, looking forward to plenty sleep and a bit of relaxation, though the thoughts in my head keep coming like wave after wave of a sandy beachfront...

Lets see what next week brings!

infinite thoughts

A night spent wondering about a million different things of all no relative connection to each other alone can reveal a lot of our minds capacity, which would include our conscious and sub-conscious minds!

The subjects we cover are vastly as a result of our understanding and related to our physical experiences. For example:
We think of things and how they affect us, like if we release an object from our hand, we know that it will fall, with all belief and no reservation. This is what we expect, as this is what we ave been exposed to since the time we were born. The actual fact that we all  know, is that it falls to the ground due to gravity and if we happen to be in a place where the effects of gravity isn't acting on us, the object would simply remain.

We can extend this type of understanding in everything else we come into contact with, thus filling our minds with endless questions on how or why certain things occur. Why do we comprehend some things, yet we cannot understand other things?

Knowing what we know now, and understanding that there are a lot of things we yet do not know is the reason for, what we refer to as, advancement (in our thinking, understanding, minds). We continuously learn things, find ourselves asking questions about them and on finding some answers that add to our understandings, do we progress in this advancement.

Ideas that i constantly find myself pondering over are basic issues which deal with an ideal way of living, a type of Utopia. I understand that we can lead our lives knowing very little, or knowing a little more. The part of knowing very little would seem quite meaningless to some off us, as we have curious minds and are always looking for ways to make ourselves better. I am of those who are the curious type.

I believe in revelation, thus i also believe in Divinity. I feel that we all have a purpose to live, and hence, we have to make the most of it.

Billions of people, thinking billions of different thoughts throughout their lives, might just help you understand the permutations of what kind of potential advancement we have as a human race, but although we feel that we are moving light years ahead since technology is progressing as it is, i feel that we are only starting to tap into our natural resource of the human mind.

Previously, people referred to as pioneers of their times, designed and came up with solutions to problems and making life better as a whole. There were also times, where these curious minds came up with certain ideas only to find out that another person discovered the very same thing only a short while ago, or an invention was thought about already. This shows us, that these ideas are not unique!

In part, i would like to just finish up today's post by saying that once we have a little understanding of what we can be capable off, we will not give up easily on problems we face everyday. If we specifically cannot find a solution to a problem, somewhere someone else can.

and at the begining, we call it the first

The first, first of many, so appropriately, i feel the need for an introduction to what led me to starting this blog.

Perhaps it was always on my mind to write things down and keep them in a place to be referenced later to bring it back to the front of my mind where i could devote enough effort to its brilliance, or other such qualities. I believe that true genius is not actually a specific person who has an aptitude for knowing the most amount of things or can calculate the equations to the for the universe, but rather, those small sparks of true genius lies in the things we stumble upon mistakenly perhaps. things like penicillin, or electricity, and gravity, all our understandings come at moments which not all of us might recognize. Thus, the easiest way of trying to find, and keep these wonderful ideas we each may have, is to write it down, no matter how silly it may seem, but it would help our understanding to some extent!

Just yesterday, as i always do when busy with mundane stuff that my body is used to, i found myself pondering again on some ideas that i thought were so elaborate and made so much of sense at the time that i finally made a sort of resolve to start blogging...

Usually I'd write something down randomly on my Facebook notes, or on a page half scribbled on, only ideas, that feel just so right then. I'd post some of them when i can find them. There are also some philosophical stuff which are a good way to understand the way of dealing with things (issues we deal with in life), and i find that having certain philosophies of your own, you can prepare yourself for certain happenings, such as loosing people, betrayal, elation, responsibility and many others as such!

Myself, i feel drawn towards people who are good in converse and sometimes ponder on the same sort of things, or rather even totally different things. The main point is that instead of coming across a multitude of brilliant thoughts in our mind on a daily basis, and just brushing them off as they are then forgotten, wouldn't it be better to write them down now as I'm doing?

Looking ahead, i plan to blog about interesting thoughts that are not as common, or have less time spent on, stuff such as stories, our minds, our societies, the way we interact with the world, the different ways to think about the same things.

Back to work now then.
